Refund Policy

At Shirako no ie, we offer a exclusive, private home-stay experience tailored to each group of guests. Because our accommodations, seasonal activities, and culinary preparations are arranged specifically for your arrival, we have established the following refund and cancellation policy.

All cancellations or modifications to a reservation must be submitted in writing via email. Cancellation fees are calculated based on the total booking amount and the notice period provided before your scheduled check-in date:
 

• 45 days or more prior to arrival: 100% refund (less any applicable transaction/bank fees)

• 31 to 45 days prior to arrival: 50% refund

• 15 to 30 days prior to arrival: 30% refund

• Less than 14 days prior to arrival / No-Show: Non-refundable (0% refund)

In the event of severe weather conditions, natural disasters, or official government travel restrictions that prevent access to the property or make your stay unsafe, we will work with you to reschedule your reservation. If rescheduling is not possible, a full or partial refund will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Fees associated with optional or seasonal activities, specialized food ingredients, or customized workshops may have separate non-refundable components once preparations have commenced. Detailed terms for specific activities will be outlined in your booking confirmation.

Approved refunds will be processed using the original method of payment within 7–14 business days. Any international wire transfer or credit card processing fees incurred may be deducted from the final refund amount.
